    George Thomson, CIP, CFEI

    FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT

    George is a lifelong Independent Adjuster who has been in the business since September 1980. His extensive experience across Canada involves dealing with catastrophic losses as a result of natural disasters such as the Quebec Ice Storm, Edmonton Flood and others. He previously worked for Underwriters Adjusters Bureau and Adjusters Canada (now Crawford Canada) before starting his own company, Thomson Adjusters in 2013.

    Qualifications / Designations

    - Full Lines Accredited Independent Adjuster ( CIP)

    - Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI)

    - Classified by my experience as a large loss adjuster at Crawford Canada Inc. with Global Tech Services designation (GTS)

    - Over 30 years experience in the Orangeville area 

    - Bilingual French/English

    Experience

    My experience is wide and varied and am able to handle anything from the small statements, minor tasks to multi-million dollar losses

    I am very comfortable dealing with lawyers and public adjusters

    I am able to cater to my customer needs quickly and efficiently 

    I have testified in court as a Crown witness in Criminal matters, Defense representative in Small Claims Court suits, etc.

    Acted as an Umpire and Appraiser in the Appraisal Dispute process

    Travelled and have worked in many Catastrophic situations all over Canada over the years (Montreal Ice Storm and floods in Toronto, Peterborough, Edmonton, Kingston, etc.)

    Attended mediations as an insurer representative in SABS situations

    Fred Temple, BA, CIP

    Over 55 years of all lines claims experience.

    Worked on Medical Malpractice claims while at Crawford Canada.

    1969 to 1977 – Independent adjuster – L.S. Croth & Company

    1977 to 1990 – Independent adjuster – Adjusters Canada

    1990 to 2008 – Branch Manager – Orangeville office – Adjusters Canada and Crawford & Company

    2008 to present – Staff Adjuster – Dufferin Mutual Insurance Company

    2015 to present – independent adjuster – Thomson Insurance Adjusters

    Bob Taylor

    CLAIMS SPECIALIST AND ANALYST

    Bob worked 18 years as an All Lines provincially licensed independent adjuster with an international claims organization, the last 6 years as branch manager in KW. He then moved to be an inside claims examiner for 23 years with an insurer working in their municipal claims unit that eventually transformed itself into a  Managing General Agent handling a national municipal liability insurance program, where he specialized in:

    - Municipal Liability

    - Errors & Omissions

    - Environmental claims

    while involved in other general municipal claims matters.

    He has taken claims from the initial report through to its conclusion as a senior claims representative for the insurer. Not only has he worked closely with the defense lawyers but has even given evidence.

    Over 43 years of All claims experience including:

    - Casualty (all types including Medical Malpractice for an Insurer and as an Independent Adjuster.

    - Auto

    2 years as an Examiner with Intact Public Entities.

    Benjamin Thomson

    CLAIMS CONSULTANT

    Ben is a former NHL/AHL player and has spent the last decade playing professional hockey for multiple franchises, including the New Jersey Devils, Anaheim Ducks, New York Islanders, and Vegas Golden Knights. Before turning professional, he played in the Ontario Hockey League for the Kitchener Rangers and the North Bay Battalion.

    Over the past three years, he has been apprenticing in the business world under George Thomson's mentorship, including a full year in a dedicated capacity. He is currently completing all required CIP classes.

    With George Thomson's supervision, he is comfortable and confident in handling any size or type of loss.

    Additionally, he is involved in assisting with the development and growth of the company, focusing on marketing and quality control.

    Samantha Thomson, B.Sc.

    CLAIMS CONSULTANT

    Sam graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science (Honours); minor in finance, in December 2021.

    She has 2 years experience working for the County of Wellington in the Accounting/Finance department, also holding a brief role with Purchasing.

    Sam is currently pursuing a CIP designation and Ontario Independent Adjusters License through the Insurance Institute of Canada.

    She has been involved with Thomson Insurance Adjusters part-time since 2016.

    She has been employed full-time with Thomson Adjusters since October 2023, under the guidance and supervision of George Thomson.

    Diane Thomson

    FIELD CLAIMS ASSOCIATE

    Diane has a solid background in property appraisal, negotiations, and asset management, Diane has a proven track record in both the private and public sectors, including managing significant government projects with the MTO procurement Division.

    She started her Insurance claims experience with UAB Ltd in the 1980s and has had career changes since then and gained valuable knowledge transferable to Claims since then.

    At Thomson Insurance Adjusters, Diane assist with inspecting, documenting and evaluating various types of claims. She also helps to quantify insurance claims, ensuring accuracy.

    She is committed to delivering outstanding customer service and keeping comprehensive records for auditing and training.

    Her expertise also extends to overseeing large-scale claims projects, particularly those resulting from catastrophic events, coordinating efforts across multiple teams to ensure efficiency.

    With a robust career spanning over three decades in the insurance industry, Carol Murray brings a wealth of experience and deep expertise to her role at Thomson Insurance Adjusters Inc.

    Since 2018, Carol has been with Thomson Insurance Adjusters Inc., where she leverages her extensive background to provide outstanding administrative, analytical, and typographical support. Carol's comprehensive knowledge and meticulous approach ensure efficiency and reliability in all aspects of her work, making her an invaluable asset to our team.

    Lauren graduated from Georgian College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2021. She excels in creating impactful face-to-face marketing initiatives and leveraging technology to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
